Reece Marshburn - piano

Reece Marshburn graduated from Western Washington University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies. At Western, he studied intensively with bassist Chuck Israels, Saxophonist Mike Allen, and classical pianist Margaret Brink. After college, Reece worked for several years as bandleader on the cruise ship Queen of The West, which led to the formation of The Notables. Recently, Reece has been ubiquitous within the Portland area musical theater scene, playing in the orchestras for I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Write Myself a Letter, West Side Story (at the grand opening of the Pearl District's Gerding Theater), and Oregon Children's Theater production of Miss Nelson is Missing at the Keller Auditorium. Reece is also currently touring and performing with the Jim Beatty Jazz Band, the Reece Marshburn Trio, as well playing solo piano at a variety of venues around Portland. He is also currently recording an album of original material entitled, I'm Ragged But I'm Right.

Bill Athens - bass

Originally from of Appleton, WI, Bill Athens moved to Portland to start playing music. Bill has played with many great artists including Mary Kadderly, Ron Steen, Darrell Grant, Bill Beach, Dan Balmer, Jerry Hahn, Randy Porter, Warren Rand, Nancy King, Greg Gobel, Devin Philips, The Dave Mills/Carlton Jackson Big Band, and many others. He occupied the bass chair on the Queen of the West river boat and holds a Bachelor of Music from Portland State University where he studied bass with Ken Baldwin, Jazz studies with Darrel Grant and composition with Bryan Johanson.

Todd Bishop - drums

Todd Bishop has been performing professionally from the Pacific Northwest to Los Angeles to Hong Kong since 1985. He has been working steadily since the mid-90's on the riverboats of the Columbia, including the Empress Of The North, the Queen Of The West, and the Columbia Queen. He has led swing, modern jazz, avant-garde and indie rock groups (most famously Flatland and The Raging Woodies) and produced 5 CDs of his original music for Seattle’s Origin Records and for independant release. He has worked with Portland's leading singer/songwriters including Casey Scott, McKinley, Stephanie Schneiderman, Nicole Campbell, and Lara Michell; and with jazz musicians Dan Balmer, Bill Beach and others. He studied percussion performance at the University of Oregon and, under scholarship, jazz studies at the University of Southern California. He is also a visual artist and photographer, and has exhibited throughout the Pacific Northwest, and sold work internationally.

Gracie Holloway - vocalist

Gracie Holloway is a founding member of New York City's Howland Sisters, a retro trio specializing in songs from the 1880's through the 1940's popularized by the likes of the Mae West and the Boswell Sisters. Ms. Holloway has appeared in several Off-Broadway comedies and been a featured performer on over 25 records in a vastly diverse range of styles.
